Foods for Improved Cognition

Every time we put some food in our mouth, we are making a decision to fuel our body with high quality ingredients or drag ourselves down with poor choices. The vast majority of people are simply ignorant on healthy food choices, which is why we have created the Healthy Eating Made Easy website.

The majority of people who are using our tools and advice find that it is possible to improve cognitive capacity if using the right tools and dietary techniques. In this article, we are going to show you some of the food choices that can make a big difference in the long run.

As you will see, there are many reasons to enhance the food choices that you make for adequate brain health.

Foods for Brain Health

Here are a few of the foods that you will want to keep in mind when trying to optimize your brain health. Some of these might seem outlandish or even bizarre, but they help your brain as shown in numerous scientific studies.

#1. Sardines – even though it seems like a gross food to eat, sardines are some of the best food choices that you can make. They come in cans, which makes them incredibly easy to consume. You will see a host of benefits of eating sardines beyond the protein aspect. By eating sardines you’ll have benefits of fish oil, which can influence cognition and many other factors.

Sardines are super cheap, healthy, and are a lot better than many other fish products on the marketplace – not to mention a whole lot simpler!

#2. Eggs – there are some fears around eating eggs and the risk of increased cholesterol, but it is important to keep in mind that this is one of the only sources of choline that you can find. Now that we no longer eat things like broccoli and other foods, it is important to find choline in any way that we can.

To do this, it is a good idea to consume as many eggs as possible so that you get raw choline that is converted into acetylcholine. If you haven’t been able to eat enough eggs, you might need a citicoline supplement in order to achieve better results.

#3. Veggies – never underestimate the power of vegetables. Many people go through their lives avoiding vegetables like the plague and this is not only a terrible long-term strategy, but also a poor short term one as well.

Making sure that you are able to get the best results from your diet cannot happen if you aren’t getting plenty of veggies and all the micronutrients that you need.

Most of the time, you are going to find that vegetables and the meats we have provided above go well together. The vast majority of people who are utilizing healthy food options don’t realize that they can save a lot of money and maintain adequate health if they are focused on doing so in the right way.

Eat more of these three foods and you’ll be well on your way to an easy healthy lifestyle.
