Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution

by Elizabeth
(Healthy Eating Made Easy)

Healthy Eating Made Easy is thrilled to see Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution hitting the headlines in the USA.

Why? Because Jamie is part of the reason that this site exists.

As a freelance writer, I wrote the website content for the Channel 4 website about Jamie Oliver's School Dinners Campaign in 2004/05.

It was working on that project which got me so revved up about healthy eating, and led to the start of this site, Healthy Eating Made Easy.

Research just released in the UK from Nuffield College and the University of Essex shows that the healthier school dinners which Jamie introduced had a real effect on the kids, who not only did better in academic tests, but had fewer days off sick once they stopped being fed deep-fried junk food at lunchtime and started having meals made with healthy, fresh produce.

Now Jamie's taken his message to the USA, and he's been having a rough ride, with David Letterman telling him to mind his own business...

...but gradually, the snowball is gathering. There's an online
Jamie's Food Revolution Petition you can sign, to show your support for his campaign for better food, better health and better learning for schoolchildren in the United States.

Isn't that worth 30 seconds of your time? Please sign the petition now, and find out how you can support this campaign - it's vital to the longterm wellbeing of the next generation.
