How to start healthy eating?

by Elizabeth
(Healthy Eating Made Easy)

People often wonder how to start healthy eating.

If you know you have an unhealthy diet, I suggest that you don't change everything, all at once. A better approach is change a couple of elements of your diet at a time and get each difference established before you move on to the next.

For instance, if have a bowl of sugar-coated cereal, make the switch to a healthier option like wholewheat toast or a low sugar or sugar-free muesli with chopped fresh fruit. Keep the other meals you eat the same until you're used to your new breakfast. Then switch your mid-afternoon snack to a piece of fresh fruit.

You can also improve your diet easily by adding extra helpings of veggies at every meal, keeping your fruit bowl stocked with fresh fruits for snacking, and buying less of the unhealthy stuff when you shop.
