Try these healthy soup recipes for weight loss - delicious and very healthy food to help you lose weight.




Can eating soup help you to lose weight? Soup is certainly a wonderful food to include in your diet if you want to shed some pounds.

Why? Because soup is warming and sustaining. Homemade vegetable soups are full of goodness but low in calories. A bowl of soup is lovely at lunchtime, and a small serving of thick soup also makes an excellent healthy snack.

Soup is also great if you're looking for ways to encourage weight loss for kids. Add a flask to lunch boxes for kids to give them a healthy midday meal.

None of these vegetable soup recipes contain any added fat. In traditional recipes you soften the vegetables in oil before adding the liquid. To help your weight loss efforts, it's better to simply cook the prepared vegetables in stock, without frying first. The flavour is barely affected, and the calorie count will be lower.

All these low fat soups are made with vegetable stock. You can also use stock made from powder or a bouillon cube, but these are much saltier than homemade stock, so don't add any extra salt to your soup.
