Special occasions mark out the year, and it's useful to have a few healthy holiday recipes on hand for each one. Early in spring we have Valentine’s and Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday), which liven up the tail-end of winter. After that there’s Mother’s Day and Easter in spring, then a break through the summer until we come round to Halloween and Thanksgiving, ending up with Christmas which brightens the darker days of the year.
All these occasions are times when friends and family come together for celebration meals. But you don’t always want to serve food that’s very rich – and it’s very possible to enjoy really delicious, super-special foods, without piling on the calories or the fat. Try these healthy holiday recipes. Have fun!
