Healthy Christmas diet tips

by Elizabeth
(Healthy Eating Made Easy)

14 December 2009 One day of indulgence is ok...but does your festive blow-out last for a week or more? These healthy diet tips will help:
- Remember to shop with restraint - alas, we all know what happens if there are three giant boxes of chocolates in the house rather than just the one.
- Stock up on fresh fruit and keep a bowl topped up with refreshing winter citrus and crisp apples.
- Put the unhealthy snacks away and serve a small bowl before meals...don't put temptation in your path by leaving the crisps and salted nuts are on display all the time.
- Make soups ahead of time for holiday lunches.
- Prepare for the feast, by eating lightly whenever you can and not overdoing it when you have a pre-Christmas party.

More healthy holiday eating tips. Enjoy your healthy diet at Christmas - you'll be glad you did when the season is over.

Another healthy Christmas diet tip

Plan your meals for the festive season - do it today. Include lots of healthy dishes in among the less healthy ones and alternate rich desserts with fresh fruit salads and platters.
