A healthy dish and 5 a day!

by Jane
(London)

My daughter absolutely hated the idea of starting a whole new year with veg and fruit. When I cooked this dish in 3 very easy steps she was gobsmacked, and now she wants it everyday. Which makes me feel proud because it is very healthy for all my kids.

3 very easy step methods for a healthy dish:

you will need:
sliced carrots, frozen peas and sweetcorn, brussel sprouts, bread, butter, salmon fillet, low fat garlic mayonnaise.

Equipment:
steamer, knife, plates....

1. Place salmon in the steamer and cook for 8 minutes. Add veg and steam for a further 5-6 minutes, or until tender.

2. Lightly butter a slice of wholemeal bread.

3. When the food is cooked, put it on a plate and top with low fat garlic mayo on the salmon for a fresh, delicious flavour. Serve with the slice of bread and butter.

Enjoy!
